Marco Antonio Guzman was a Mexican League catcher for 19 years and later was a manager.

Guzman debuted in 1980 with the Reynosa Broncos, going 15 for 46 with two doubles, a triple and five walks. In 1981, he hit .250/.320/.336 for the Mexico City Red Devils followed by just .194/.260/.239 with 20 runs in 102 games in 1982 (he also made 15 errors, leading the league's catchers, as a two-way negative) and .200/.287/.292 in 44 games as a backup in '83.

Marco Antonio then moved to the Campeche Pirates and would spend nine straight seasons with them. He batted .288/.365/.464 in 1984, .306/.398/.473 in 1985, .316/.403/.453 with 82 RBI in 1986 and .254/.360/.357 in 1987. He had his best season in 1988, producing at a .336/.425/.540 rate with career highs in average, OBP, slugging, doubles (31), runs (73) and RBI (94). He also smacked 18 dingers. In '89, he fell off to .311/.371/.467 then had two more .300 seasons at .304/.367/.421 and .314/.378/.536 with a career-best 22 home runs. In his last season with Campeche, he hit .286/.378/.434.

Joining the Rieleros de Aguascalientes, the 34-year-old hit .271/.370/.434 in 1993 and .315/.389/.396 in 1994. He bounced around in his last years, with lines of .269/.344/.345 for the '95 Yucatan Lions, .210/.258/.258 for the '96 Quintana Roo Lobstermen (his first time under 100 games played in 12 years), .271/.322/.354 in 1997 (65 games between Yucatan, Campeche and the Saltillo Saraperos) and .239/.313/.301 in 1998 (back with his longtime Pirates club).

Overall, Guzman had batted .286/.366/.415 in 1,745 minor league games, all in the Mexican League. He had 137 home runs, 836 RBI, 697 walks and 633 strikeouts.

Guzman later managed for several different Mexican League outfits.
