Manuel Campos was signed by the Seattle Mariners as an amateur free agent at age 17. He debuted in 2007 as a pro with the VSL Mariners, going 1-0 with a 5.75 ERA in 11 games. In 2008, he went 3-3 with 4 saves and a 3.90 ERA in 19 games for the same club. He was a late addition to Panama's roster for the 2009 World Baseball Classic but did not pitch in the Classic.
