The brother of Pete Paciorek, cousin of Tom Paciorek Jr. and Joseph Paciorek, nephew of Jim Paciorek, Mike Paciorek and Tom Paciorek and son of John Paciorek, Mack Paciorek spent five years in the independent leagues.
Mack was taken in the 31st round of the 1998 amateur draft by the Detroit Tigers, 12 rounds before cousin Tom, but did not sign. Mack went on to Iowa State University, where he hit .359 with a team-leading 21 doubles. He spent every year of his college career at aa different school.
After he finished college, Paciorek went 3 for 11 for the 2000 Yuma Bullfrogs and then joined the Feather River Mudcats, hitting .243 as a backup shortstop. Mack moved on to the Johnstown Johnnies the next year, where he hit .292/?/.390 as the regular shortstop and led the Frontier League with 24 doubles.
In 2002, he joined with the Joliet Jackhammers but started 0 for 18 and overall managed a .179/~.220/.205 line in 112 AB, scoring 3 runs. In '03, the 25/26-year-old shortstop played for the Berkshire Black Bears (5 for 27, .296 SLG) and the Cook County Cheetahs (.314/.358/.352 in 48 games). He finished up his career with the 2004 Jackson Senators, hitting .242/.316/.303 in 11 games.
