Though his major league career was short, Lyle Judy spent 14 seasons in the minor leagues. He played every year in the minor leagues from 1934 to 1941 and again from 1946 to 1951. He surpassed the .300 batting average threshold four times with a high of .334. Overall, he batted .285 with 247 doubles, 51 triples and 21 home runs in 1,648 minor league games.

He managed in the minor leagues for three years. His first stop was the Hopkinsville Hoppers (1936) where he was the last of four managers for that franchise, replacing Budd Adams on Sept 5. His next stop was with the St. Augustine Saints (1938). He returned to St Augustine in 1950 when he replaced Ernie Jenkins on June 9. He was replaced June 24 by Charles Starasta.

Following his death, he was interred at San Lorenzo Cemetery in St. Augustine, FL.
