[edit] Biographical Information

Loyd Colson pitched in one game near the end of the 1970 season for the New York Yankees, giving up a run in two innings of relief. He was a year younger than Thurman Munson.

He was at Bacone College at the same time as Gerry Pirtle, and both were drafted by the Yankees. However, while Colson made it to the majors at age 22 in 1970, Pirtle would not come to the big leagues until 1978.
