Right-hander Lou Grasmick spent eight seasons in professional baseball from 1943 to 1950.

Lou spent three days in the major leagues with the Philadelphia Phillies from April 22 to April 24, 1948. He appeared in two games, pitched five innings and had no decisions for his three days of work.

Grasmick spent the balance of his eight seasons in the minors and had two double-digit winning seasons, in 1944 he was 11-7 for the Williamsport Grays of the class A Eastern League and in 1947 he was 12-7 for the Terre Haute Phillies of the class B Three-I League. These were the only winning years he had. In his eight seasons in pro ball, he spent time with sixteen teams in ten different leagues.

Grasmick left baseball after the 1950 season with a minor league career 44-53 record, appearing in 158 games.

After baseball, Grasmick returned to his native Baltimore, Maryland, went into the lumber business and as of this writing (2011) is 86 years old and serves as Chief Executive Officer of Grasmick Lumber Company, Inc. Grasmick has been a Director of Harbor Bankshares Corp. since 1992 and its subsidiary Harbor Bank of Maryland since 1982.
