Lloyd Street Grounds was the home of the American League Milwaukee Brewers for the 1901 season and had a racetrack style grandstand. A rickety wooden fence with wooden supports enclosed the outfield, and there was a 20 foot high canvas screen in left field. After the 1901 season, the Brewers became the St. Louis Browns, and Milwaukee was without a major league team for over 50 years.
