Lizzie Arlington
From BR Bullpen
Elizabeth Stroud
Lizzie Arlington was a woman who played minor league and women's baseball. She made news by appearing in a minor league game in 1898 for the Reading Coal Heavers, the only woman to appear in an Organized Baseball game through 2008. She allowed two hits, a walk and no runs in one inning of work.
Arlington, whose real name was Elizabeth "Lizzie" Stroud, was signed to do the minor league stint as a promotion. Some sources say her real name was "Stride".

It is said that Jack Stivetts taught her how to pitch.
