In 1910 the Lincoln Railsplitters replaced the Lincoln Greenbackers in the Western League. The team from Lincoln, NE went 95-71, third in the 8-team circuit. John Thomas led the league with 22 homers. Lincoln fell to 84-81 and 6th place a year later, though Thomas again paced the Western with 12 long balls. The 1912 season was nearly identical - 83-81 and 5th place. Workhorse Rip Hagerman (23-18) led the league in games pitched (51), walks (145) and strikeouts (315) and was second in losses and tied for third in wins. In 1913 the team again became known as the Lincoln Greenbackers.
