[edit] Biographical Information
Linc Blakely played one season in the major leagues. He was a 22-year-old outfielder with the 1934 Cincinnati Reds, getting 102 at-bats from April 29 to June 27, 1934. He hit .225 with one double, one triple, and no home runs.
Two of the outfielders on team were established stars: Chick Hafey and [[Adam Comorosky]. The third spot was eventually filled by Harlin Pool, who hit .327 that year but only .176 the next year, which was his last.
Linc Blakely is one of the major leaguers whose first and last names are both unique in major league history. There actually has been another "Lincoln", but he goes by "Link" - Link Wasem. Wasem was like Linc Blakely in that he appeared in only one season for a National League team in the 1930's.
