Pitcher Lew Olsen was drafted in the 1st round of the 1973 amateur draft by the Kansas City Royals. In 1974, Olsen was 11-8 and finished third in the California League with a 2.28 ERA. By 1976, Olsen was in AAA and he was listed on the Royals' 1977 spring roster, but never pitched in the majors.
