Pat Patterson was a minor league catcher and manager. He scouted for the Cincinnati Reds (1942-1951) and New York Yankees (1952-1967), signing players such as Ewell Blackwell, Dixie Howell, Ray Lamanno, Lloyd Merriman, Kent Peterson, Bob Usher, Joe Nuxhall, Grady Hatton, Tom Tresh, and Bob Meyer.
