Leslie Aulds, often called "Tex Aulds", played in the 1944 Cotton Bowl - not for a college, but for Randolph Field (now Randolph Air Force Base). He caught a pass and scored the only touchdown for Randolph in a 7-7 tie.
Aulds also played for the 1946 Scranton Red Sox, a team which went 90-43. Among others, he caught Mel Parnell, who led the league in ERA, and Tommy Fine, who went 23-3.
