Leris Aguilera is a first baseman for Holguín. After five seasons (through 2007-2008, he had hit .232 and slugged .373, with 27 homers in 901 AB. He had a breakout year in 2008-2009, hitting .328/.386/.585 with 23 home runs, 23 doubles and 81 RBI. He tied Yosvani Peraza for fifth in the Serie Nacional in homers, tied Rolando Meriño for 3rd in total bases (209) and tied for 4th in RBI. He named to the All-Star team as the DH.
