Elected into the Salon de la Fama in 1939.
Outfielder Leo Najo was one of the first Mexican players in the minor leagues. In 1925, with the Okmulgee Drillers, he led the Western Association with 34 home runs and 195 runs scored. He hit .323 with the Tulsa Oilers in 1932 and batted .357 with the McAllen Packers in 1938, leading the Texas Valley League with 20 homers that year as well. Overall, he had a career average of .321 in 1,318 minor league games.
Najo managed the Laredo Apaches for part of 1950.
