Len Swormstedt pitched three years in the majors. He was with Cincinnati in 1901-02 and then with Detroit in 1906. Sam Crawford, one year younger, was a teammate all three of those years.
Len was born in Cincinnati, OH in 1878. Hall of Fame manager Miller Huggins was born the same year in the same town.
Len played in the minors from 1900-13. He spent parts of three seasons with Milwaukee and parts of four with Troy.
