Len Boehmer played three seasons in the majors. He is the last player from St. Louis University (as of 2008) to come to the majors.
Boehmer got most of his at-bats with the 1969 New York Yankees, for whom he played mostly first base. The regular first baseman that year was Joe Pepitone.
Boehmer was in the minors starting in 1961, and hit .329 for Macon in 1964. He was in double figures in home runs five times. He spent five years in the International League, hitting .326 for Syracuse in 1971.
