Biographical Information

Charles "Lefty" Jamerson pitched one game for the 1924 Boston Red Sox.

Youngster Red Ruffing was also a rookie on the 1924 Red Sox.

Jamerson was born in Enfield, IL, not far from Evansville, and attended college at the University of Arkansas, about 500 miles from Enfield. Jim Bottomley was also born in Illinois in 1900.

Jamerson played for Pittsfield in 1925-27 and also appeared with Hartford.

In 1926 he also played briefly in the NFL.
