Lee Driggers played and managed in the minors and has coached in college.
Driggers was taken by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 63rd round of the 1968 amateur draft. He split 1969 between the Ogden Dodgers (0-2, Sv, 8.22, 33 BB in 23 IP) and Daytona Beach Dodgers (5.62 in 8 IP), his only season as a player. He returned to college, earning a bachelor's in physical education and a master's in education.
Lee later coached at Brenham High School, Willowridge High School, Abilene Cooper High School, Tarleton State University and Hardin-Simmons University. He managed for two years in the Pittsburgh Pirates chain, 1990-1991. In 1996, he was hired to revive a McMurry University that had been dormant since 1949. He went 350-218-2 in 13 years there. In 2008, he moved to Wheaton College, going 23-19 in 2009 to tie the school record for wins. He was 24-16 in 2010, setting a new win mark.
