[edit] Biographical Information

The son of Hall of Famer Hank Aaron and nephew of Tommie Aaron, outfielder/first baseman Lary Aaron was selected by the Atlanta Braves in the 32nd round of the 1981 amateur draft. He played two seasons in their organization, in 1981 and 1982. The first year, Lary hit .190/.239/.206 but had 3 outfield assists and no errors in 19 games in the field. In '82, the Florida A&M alumnus split time between the Anderson Braves (1 for 17) and GCL Braves (.320/.418/.388). Had he qualified (his 122 plate appearances were 48 shy), he would have ranked 5th in the Gulf Coast League in average, right behind Shawon Dunston.

As of 2011, he was a pro scout for the Milwaukee Brewers.

He is also related to Ging Aaron, Melvin Aaron and Wilmer Aaron.
