Larry White, through 2008, is the most recent major leaguer to come from San Francisco State University. He pitched two seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers, both years with good ERA's.
He was the same age as Orel Hershiser (the two were born nine days apart), with whom he also pitched in Albuquerque.
He came to the Dodgers organization in the trade that brought Rick Sutcliffe to the Cleveland Indians.
