[edit] Biographical Information
After pitching in one game in the major leagues in 1963, in 1965 Larry Foster enrolled in the Augustana Theological Seminary in Rock Island, IL to study for the Lutheran ministry.
Foster broke into the minors in 1958, and tied for the team lead in victories in 1960 with Knoxville, where a teammate was Mickey Lolich. Later, he pitched part of 1963 at Seattle, a team for whom Wilbur Wood also pitched.
He was at Michigan State University at the same time as pitchers Dick Radatz and Ron Perranoski.
