Lance Barksdale was the first umpire to have a home run call overturned due to instant replay in Major League Baseball history. The first 13 instant replays had shown that the umps were right. On May 13, 2009, Barksdale called an Adam LaRoche drive a homer, but it was ruled a double on replay.
