The parking lot of the stadium has also been used for events such as 3 on 3 basketball, flea markets, car shows and craft shows.

For baseball games, it has the same dimensions as Veterans Stadium, since the Philadelphia Phillies' former AAA-affiliate Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Red Barons played at the stadium. It was believed that having the Phillies' top prospects playing in a similar ballpark would help them adjust better to the big leagues when they were called up. Veterans Stadium was enclosed all around, while Lackawanna Stadium is not. Furthermore, 16 years after Lackawanna County Stadium was opened, the Phillies have moved into a new ballpark, and SWB has affiliated with the New York Yankees, making this stadium a living relic. It is probably the last of the cookie-cutter stadiums, which dominated the major leagues in the 1960s-1970s.
Hosted the 1995 AAA All-Star Game.
