[edit] Biographical Information
La Rue Kirby was an outfielder, pitcher and World War I Veteran. He was a pitcher in the National League and primarily an outfielder in the Federal League.
He played with the New York Giants and St. Louis Terriers for three seasons (1912-15) and continued in minor league ball until 1922.
He lived in Lansing MI 40 years, working for the city parks department there, and was a school patrol officer seven years. He died at age 71 in hospital at Lansing, MI and is buried at Eureka Cemetery in Eureka, MI.
