Korea was a colony of the Japan that existed on the Korean peninsula until 1945 when it was divided into South Korea and North Korea. From 1910 to 1945 it had been under Japanese rule. Hideo Fujimoto, Dong-yeop Kim and Eung-yong Kim were born here.
