The Royal Netherlands Baseball and Softball Federation (Dutch: Koninklijke Nederlandse Baseball en Softball Bond) oversees Hoofdklasse Honkbal, arguably the top baseball league in Europe, and the Dutch national team, the top national team in Europe. It came to be as a result of a 1971 fusion between the Royal Netherlands Baseball Federation (founded on March 12, 1912) and the Netherlands Amateur Softball Federation.
