Kid Durbin played for four teams during three years in the National League. Three of the teams went to the World Series with two of them winning it.
Durbin pitched in five games in 1907 and also played in the outfield for five games that season. In 1908, all his field appearances were in the outfield. In 1909, although he was in seven games, he had no appearances in the field.
A book called The Best Team Ever profiles the 1907 Cubs, as seen through the eyes of Kid Durbin.
He was with Joplin in 1906. He was with Oakland in 1912.
After baseball he was a baker.
He was the first of three major league players with the last name Durbin (through 2008).
