In July of 2007, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported that Young was working for an online baseball instruction company in Phoenix. That winter the Mitchell Report said that Young bought 6 to 8 kits of Human Growth Hormone from 2000-2003, mostly in 2003 when he was recuperating from knee injuries.
