Pitcher Kevin Tapani was signed as a 2nd round pick in the 1986 amateur draft by the Oakland A's and scout Marty Miller. On July 20, 1998, Kevin had perhaps the most memorable day of his career. Throwing 7 innings against the Braves, Kevin allowed just three runs and topped it all off by hitting a third inning grand slam off of Denny Neagle.
