[edit] Biographical Information
Outfielder Kevin Long was drafted in the 31st round of the 1989 amateur draft by the Kansas City Royals and played in the minors from 1989 to 1996.
After his playing career ended, he was a minor league coach and manager. Long was the hitting coach of the Columbus Clippers from 2004 to 2006. In 2007, he became the New York Yankees hitting coach.
