The son of Mark Eichhorn and nephew of Dave Eichhorn, Kevin Eichhorn made his pro debut in 2008.

Kevin was the 3rd-round pick of the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 2008 amateur draft. He had gone 7-2 with a 1.65 ERA as a junior and threw a no-hitter; he hit .452 with 49 RBI. He was second team All-State for California. He signed late in 2008 and only got into two games for the Missoula Osprey, allowing two runs in 2 2/3 IP.
