Kevin Coffman had his best career start on May 11, 1988 against the Montreal Expos, pitching 6 2/3 innings and giving up 3 hits and just one earned run while walking 5 and striking out 1. It was the only time in his major league career that he pitched more than 6 innings in a start. Hall of Famer Bruce Sutter got the save in the game.
