On October 11, 2008, Kevin Foster died in an Oklahoma City, OK hospital after a six-month bout with renal cell carcinoma.
Originally drafted as a third baseman by the Montreal Expos, he was converted to pitching after two seasons as an infielder in 1988 and 1989. He threw a rising fastball and a changeup.
