Kevin Elster was signed as a 2nd round pick in the January 1984 amateur draft by the New York Mets and scout Dean Jongewaard.
Played the role of Pat Corning in the 1994 movie, Little Big League.
In 1996, Elster set all-time single-season records for the most HR and RBI from the ninth spot, with 21 and 92 respectively.
Elster hit 3 home runs in the first official game at Pac Bell Park, April 11th, 2000.
