Kevin Cameron made his major league debut for the San Diego Padres on April 5, 2007 with 2 innings of scoreless relief.

As of May 9, 2008, Cameron held the record for most career appearances without allowing a home run. He gave up his first (and only) major league home run on May 30, 2009, in his 68th and penultimate career appearance. It was hit by Nelson Cruz of the Texas Rangers. Overall, he went 2-0, 3.02, with one save in 69 career games, all of them in relief.
