The brother of Lindy McDaniel and Von McDaniel, Kerry Don McDaniel played three years in the minors. Kerry Don went 3-8 with a 4.67 ERA for the 1961 Winnipeg Goldeyes. Moving on the Brunswick Cardinals in '62, he hit .233 with 9 HR and 37 RBI and was 3-4 with a 7.17 ERA. He concluded his career with the 1963 Statesville Owls, having a 3-1, 6.08 season on the mound as he continued to cut his losses while winning three games per year. At the plate, he batted .251 with five homers and 42 RBI that year. Overall, he went 6-13 on the hill.
