Ken Sanders pitched 10 years in the majors. Largely a journeyman, he was with numerous teams, spending no more than three years with any one of them. In 1971 he led the league in games pitched with 83 (he had 31 saves to also lead the league) and was 16th that year in MVP voting in spite of his team finishing 69-92.
Ken was also in the minors for 13 seasons, finishing with a record of 90-76. As an 18-year-old, he went 19-10 for Sanford.
In later life, Sanders worked as a real estate consultant. In 2010, he oversaw the proposed sale of the field used in the film "Field of Dreams" .
