Ivy Leaguer Ken Nash signed with the Cleveland Naps in 1912 after having spent several years at Brown University. While playing for Cleveland in 1912, he was one year older than teammate Joe Jackson.

After spending 1913 playing for the Toledo Mud Hens, he was back in the majors with the 1914 Cardinals. Among other duties, he backed up player-manager Miller Huggins at second base. Nash hit .275 on a team that hit .248.

Nash went on to coach at Tufts College from 1921 to 1942.

He was the second of four major leaguers (through 2007) named Nash.
