Kenneth Lauren Burns

Documentary filmmaker Ken Burns is best known among baseball fans for his 1994 Baseball documentary. Running 18 hours, it aired on PBS in nine parts (or "innings"). A "10th inning", covering the time period since the original documentary was made, was released in 2010. He is also known for documentaries The Civil War and Jazz.

On March 15, 2011, he was appointed as one of the 12 members of the Baseball Origins Committee.
