Katy Park

Katy Park served as the home of minor league baseball for many years. Baylor University also played its home games at the park for a time. Katy Park was the first park in the Texas League to install lights, playing its first night game on June 20, 1930. A tornado in 1953 ruined the park and forced the Waco Pirates to move to Longview, TX to finish out the season, but the park was repaired.
