Pitcher Justin Jones was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 2nd round of the 2002 amateur draft.
On July 31, 2004 Jones was traded as part of a 4-team trade by the Cubs to the Minnesota Twins in the deal that sent Orlando Cabrera to the Boston Red Sox, Nomar Garciaparra to the Cubs, and Doug Mientkiewicz to the Red Sox, among others.
