Joseph Kustus, known as "Jul", "Joe" or "Kul", played for the 1909 Superbas. In the minors he hit .300 several times and in the .290's a couple other times.
He died young at age 33, due to tuberculosis.
He is (through 2008) the only major leaguer remembered with the first name "Jul" or "Kul".
