The brother of Carlos Bernhardt and father of minor leaguer Cesar Bernhardt, Juan Bernhardt hit the first home run in Seattle Mariners history. It took place at the Kingdome on April 10, 1977, against Frank Tanana of the California Angels [1].

He managed the 1981-1982 Piratas de Campeche and 1992-1993 DSL Orioles/White Sox.
