Juan Parra does not show up as having played in the minor leagues. In 1999, he hit .302/.356/.463 for the China Trust Whales of Taiwan. He led the Chinese Professional Baseball League with 111 hits, beating out several former major leaguers and was 10th in average. He stole 34 bases in 47 tries to finish among the league leaders in swipes. He was named to the Best Ten as the top shortstop in the circuit. He then promptly vanished from baseball.
