Jose Zardon was with the 1945 Washington Senators, appearing in 54 games and hitting .290.
His minor league career ran 12 seasons, including a number of years in Havana and a year in Mexico.
The 1947 Havana Cubans, in the Florida International League, went 105-45. Zardon in 1945-46 played for Cienfuegos, along with Maglie, Dolf Luque, Martin Dihigo, Roland Gladu, Luis Tiant, Sr. and others. He was 3 for 18 in Cuba that winter, backing up Alejandro Crespo, Gladu and Pedro Pages as Cienfuegos won its first title in 15 years.
One post says that as of February 2009 Zardon is living in Florida.
