Jose Luis Garcia played for three seasons in the Mexican League but managed there for 20 years, winning one title for his main club, the Tigres de México.
Garcia debuted in 1953, hitting .163/.200/.229 in 48 games for the Rojos del Águila de Veracruz. He batted .252/.328/.404 as an outfielder for the 1954 Diablos Rojos del Mexico, then hit .257/.288/.407 for them a year later. Overall, he hit .225/.280/.349 in 150 Mexican League games.
He managed the Mexican national team in the 1990 Baseball World Cup in addition to his LMB stints over a four-decade period that are listed below.
