Jose Alou was an outfielder in the Montreal Expos farm system from 1987 to 1989. He saw action in 243 games for the Burlington and West Palm Beach Expos. His career batting average was .255. He collected 10 home runs, 28 doubles and 2 triples.
Jose comes from a large baseball family. His father Felipe, Sr., brother Moises, cousin Mel Rojas, and uncles Matty and Jesus all played in the major leagues. His brother Felipe, Jr. was also a minor league ball player.
