[edit] Biographical Information
Jose Alguacil was a light-hitting minor league infielder with the San Francisco Giants (1993-1998) and Chicago White Sox (2000). He also played two seasons in the independent leagues, with the Sonoma County Crushers in 1999 and with the Newark Bears in 2001. He was a minor league coach with the GCL Expos in 2002 and 2003, then managed the Vermont Expos in 2004. He was the Washington Nationals' minor league infield coordinator in 2005 and returned to Vermont in 2006 as skipper of the Vermont Lake Monsters.
