Jorge de la Serna has been a sportswriter for several Mexican newspapers, covering the baseball beat, and has also been a newspaper editor. He has covered baseball on both television and radio as well, covering 18 Caribbean Series on radio (through 2006). Through '06, he had also covered 26 Mexican League seasons. De la Serna was the only Mexican writer to be present for the coverage of Hank Aaron's record-setting 715th home run in Major League Baseball.
